Volunteer

Why Volunteer With Us?

Volunteering offers vital help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, but the benefits can be even greater for you, the volunteer. The right volunteering opportunity can help you to find friends, connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.

Giving to others can also help protect your mental and physical health. It can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll experience, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day.

Giving in even simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness. Volunteering is also a great way of finding new interests and developing your skills whilst looking for work. If you have been out work for a while or just want to share your skills and passions its always a good option to start building your confidence through something you enjoy and practice those important skills in a workplace setting.

At ACP we are always looking for volunteers and in return we will offer you an environment that is great to work in and an opportunity to gain some valuable skills such as team work, communication skills, problem solving, event planning to help build your personal and professional goals.

We have help so many people into work through volunteering and have changed so many lives. Volunteers are really important to us and we welcome people from all walks of life. The most valuable assets we look for in our volunteers are compassion, a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed. We are an extremely thriving and buzzing centre and there's always something you can get involved in.
