Outreach Support Worker

Naeem Mughal is the substance misuse outreach support worker. The role involves engaging, supporting, referring and retaining residents affected with substance misuse alongside raising awareness about the danger of substance misuse with service users, ex-service users, parents, carers, young people and professionals.

Naeem is a DANOS qualified substance misuse support worker. Naeem journey of recovery has seen him work closely with support agencies such as Broadway Lodge, Weston counselling and Birmingham City Council as a youth support worker. Naaem has practical experience of the 12 step journey because of his own personal experiences and is now in the process engaging local residents with the intentions of delivering the Islamic 12 step to local residents affected with substance misuse. Naeem has been given the go ahead from the Milat E Islami to deliver the Islamic 12 step in the UK. The 12 Step is a spiritual approach to recovery and is open to all access irrespective of religion and race.
Naeem is currently working passionately to support local residents affected overcome their substance misuse.
